The town and beaches are very nice. Be careful when swimming and stay aware of rip currents; many locals in Getaria have had to rescue swimmers caught in them. Additionally, parking for non-residents is challenging and often limited. It is important to consider that the residents' quality of life would decline if parking favored tourists over designated spots for locals.
